Dan Mavraides is a top-ranked FIBA 3×3 professional basketball player and a 2020 Olympic hopeful residing in Los Angeles, CA.
Mavraides (a member of Team Princeton) and his teammates are the favorite to represent the USA in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. On the global stage, Team Princeton finished the 2018 FIBA 3×3 professional tour ranked #1 in the North America and #6 in the world. On the national stage, Team Princeton has won back-to-back USA 3×3 National Championships at the Olympic Training Center in CO, Springs in April of 2017 and 2018; Mavraides was voted MVP in 2017. Team Princeton represented the USA at the 2017 FIBA 3×3 World Cup in Nantes, France last summer where Mavraides was awarded ‘Player of the Day’ honors during the first day of competition.
Prior to 3×3, Mavraides played professionally in the top 5×5 leagues of Greece and Italy. He graduated from Princeton University in 2011, where he was a two-time team MVP and led the Tigers to an Ivy League Championship and NCAA tournament berth.
